Heroes’ Lestat still on break

February 12th, 2008

So, the Writers’ Strike is about to end. But it seems that Lestat (who plays Mr. Muggles on the TV show) and the Heroes crew won’t be back to work yet.

What We’re Hearing: Though an official decision has not yet been made, the most likely scenario is that Heroes will not return to our small screens until this fall. We’ve heard from a few crew members that they’ve been told they are not likely to return to set this season. Word is, the writers want a bit of breathing room to get the storyline up and running. Stay tuned on this one…

Ah well. I missed seeing this cute Pomeranian on Heroes. Oh, and did you know? Lestat’s been in show business for quite some time already, and has done a lot of commercials. He’s owned by Studio Animal Services and works for World Wide Movie Animals. Lestat also lives with two Dobermans (Mina and Dreagin) and a 3½-pound Pomeranian (Akasha). And yes, in case you haven’t figured it out yet, he’s named after the vampire in Anne Rice’s novel, Interview with a Vampire. The cute dog doesn’t drink blood though :D

You can read more info about Lestat on Heroeswiki. That’s also where I got the cute photo you see on this page (he’s got more pics on that page).

Remember Happy?

December 21st, 2007

Happy, dog star from 7th HeavenYou know, the dog from the TV show 7th Heaven? There had been reports that this adorable pooch passed away due to cancer or something a few months before, but these just turned out to be rumors. Thank god.

Happy reminds me so much of my late dog, Sheero. She’s also a mixed breed, but didn’t have traces of West Highland White Terrier blood on her unlike Happy. I was so glad to find out Happy’s still alive!

Oh, and did you know? Happy the TV dog actor was discovered at a veterinarian’s office by Shawna Suffredini, a trainer at Boone’s Animals for Hollywood, in 1996. The vet saw her wandering the streets and took her in. Happy landed the role of the Camden’s family dog at nine months old.
