Abbey, the canine star of the upcoming movie, “I am Legend,” was reported to “balk” at the idea of playing fetch. She apparently thought it was degrading 
She performed all scenes well, but refused to perform this one. The movie staff had to call the stand-in just for that particular scene!
Abbey, a 3-year-old German Shepherd, was discovered in a California kennel by Steve Berens, a trainer.
Abbey will be playing alongside Will Smith in “I am Legend,” due to be released in theaters on December 14, 2007.
